Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card offers cashback in the following manner:
Merchant Platform | Cashback Offered |
Flipkart, Myntra | 5% |
Preferred Merchants | 4% |
All Other Merchants | 1.5% |
The flat cashback rate on Flipkart is good when compared to other cards in the market. Also, unlike Amazon Pay ICICI Card where cashback is credited in the form of Amazon Pay Balance, the Flipkart card has kept it simple with a direct statement credit model. Whatever cashback you earn will be directly credited to your credit card account thus taking away the hassle of reward/cashback conversion.
Here is an example to understand cashback earning on the Flipkart Credit Card
Suppose that you spend Rs. 60,000 in a billing cycle. The break-up of his spending is as follows:
- Flipkart: Rs.20,000
- Uber: Rs.5,000
- Other spends: Rs.35,000 (including an EMI of Rs.10,000)
Since EMI transactions are not eligible for cashback, the EMI transaction worth Rs.10,000 will be excluded in cashback calculation. (Note that some transactions are not eligible for earning cashback via this credit card. These are fuel spends, purchase of gift cards on Flipkart & Myntra, EMI transactions, post facto convert of purchases into EMI, wallet loading, purchase of jewelry, cash advances, payment of outstanding balance, payment of card related fee & charges, rental payments. To know more, click here.)
Total spending eligible for cashback: Rs. 20,000 + Rs. 5,000 + Rs. 25,000 = Rs. 50,000
Cashback calculation for the same billing cycle would be:
- 5% of Rs.20,000 (Flipkart) = Rs. 1,000
- 4% of Rs.5,000 (Uber) = Rs. 200
- 2% of Rs.25,000 = Rs.375
Total cashback credit to your account = Rs. 1,575
