As per RBI’s instructions, both scheduled and non-scheduled banks will have only 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of every month as working days. This implies that the banks will remain closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month. The following is the list of upcoming Saturday bank holidays when all banks will be closed for routine banking transaction activities.

Even if the banks are closed on some Saturdays, customers can initiate transactions and avail other banking services from anywhere at their leisure. Since RTGS mode of fund transfer cannot be used on holidays and 2nd and 4th Saturdays, customers can use other banking services that are available even on Saturdays.
