Is HDFC Millennia credit card lifetime free?
HDFC Millennia Credit Card is not lifetime free. It charges an annual fee of Rs. 1,000, which is waived off on spending Rs. 1 Lakh in the preceding year. However, sometimes HDFC Bank runs exclusive offers on select credit cards, under which you might get this card lifetime free.
I recently got a new credit card last month. Now I got lifetime free card offer from IndusInd Bank and applied for it. Will it affect my credit score?
Every time you apply for a new credit card, a hard enquiry is initiated and is mentioned in your credit report. It may lead to a temporary drop in your credit score. While it may not have a major negative impact, multiple hard enquiries within a short span can make you look credit-hungry and might impact your chances of approval in future. Hence, keeping a 3-6 months gap between two credit applications is advisable.
Which lifetime free credit card has the most benefits?
Different lifetime free credit cards cater to different spending categories. For example, Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card is best for consumers who have Amazon Prime membership and spend a significant amount on purchases via Amazon. Whereas, Federal Bank Scapia Credit Card is good for travellers. Hence, you should choose a card basis your spending preferences.
Which lifetime free credit card provides best lounge facility with reward point encash option.
Hi Pankaj,
Most lifetime-free credit cards do not offer complimentary lounge visits. However, there are some exceptions like IDFC FIRST Wealth or IDFC FIRST Select credit cards. With IDFC FIRST Wealth, you can get a limited number of domestic and international lounge visits, whereas the IDFC FIRST Select card offers only domestic lounge access. The reward points you earn on these cards can be converted into cashback points, which can be directly used to pay for select online and in-store purchases.
Note that despite being lifetime-free, these are not entry-level cards and may come with more stringent eligibility conditions. Hence, you must check your eligibility before applying.
