Apart from the mandatory bank holidays on the second and fourth Saturdays, there are several other holidays during which banks are closed in Tripura. Banking Service Available on Bank Holidays in Tripura
Banks in Tripura are not only closed on Sundays and 2nd and 4th Saturdays but also on other public and national holidays. The bank customers cannot visit the bank branch on these days. However, some banking services can be availed by customers even on a bank holiday. Some of them are:
- Cash withdrawal facility from ATMs
- Online bill payment through Net banking and mobile banking
- Instant funds transfer through IMPS, NEFT and UPI
- Balance enquiry, blocking of cards or changing PIN through phone banking, net banking and mobile banking
