Standard Chartered Bank Timings

After nationwide lockdown due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), Standard Chartered Bank had resorted to the implementation of staggered time slots for banking hours across the country. However, in August, the bank has restored its usual working hours, i.e., 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM from Monday to Saturday (except on 2nd and 4th Saturday) after consulting the respective state governments.

SCB is now catering to all the banking requirements and services. Some services that were temporarily barred such as passbook update, account opening, credit card bill payments, etc. have also been resumed. 

All the customers visiting the bank are requested to take necessary precautions. 

• Customers should wear a face mask throughout the time
• Customers should sanitise their hands before and after leaving the premises
• Proper queues should be maintained to ensure social distancing
• Security staff is required to ensure that temperature checks are carried out properly
• All the customers should avoid visiting the bank unless it is necessary. Instead, SCB Net-banking or SCB Mobile Banking should be used to avail banking services

NEFT Timings

According to RBI, there are 48 half-hourly settlement batches every day. The settlement of the first batch will commence after 00:30 hours and the last batch will end at 00:00 hours.

The bank is encouraging its customers to use digital channels for all banking transactions like fund transfer, RTGS, NEFT, bill payment, etc., which are available on online banking or SC Mobile.

RTGS Timings

RTGS transactions are processed on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the branch. However, the round-the-clock RTGS facility has been made available with effect from December 2020.

Customers can visit the bank any time during the bank’s working hours and ask a bank official to assist them in their business dealing with the bank.

The bank does not grant any extended period of time over the working hours for safe deposit locker operation at the bank. Applicants can also apply for the safe deposit locker service during the business hours only.
