State Bank of India or SBI provides banking services to all its customers through various offline interaction points such as bank branches, sbiINTOUCH branches, NRI branches, NRI intensive branches, startup branches and foreign offices. One can avail services related to savings accounts, current accounts, personal loans, home loans, cards, fixed deposits, recurring deposits, small saving schemes, etc. in these branches.
To make it easier for customers, SBI provides numerous services online through their SBI YONO app and netbanking.
Most branches function at specific timings proposed by SBI regional headquarters. However, there can be some variation in the timings of some branches owing to their specialisation in operations. Thus, before visiting one such branch, one should be aware of the SBI bank timings to get services seamlessly. Let us have a look at the SBI branch timings at most of the branches in India:

Even though most SBI branches function at the timings mentioned above. Certain services might not be available after 4 pm (in some cases, 3:30 pm). SBI has given its branches the authority to decide the timings of certain services based on feasibility and availability. However, most of the services are available in the first half of the day. It is thus recommended to visit the banking hours in the first half of the day.

To enable its customers to avail services during the banking hours, SBI has made provisions for staggered lunch timings for its employees. It is mostly between 1 pm and 3 pm when at least a few counters should be operational so that customers can avail services such as cash deposit or withdrawal, cheque clearing, demand draft issue, NEFT, RTGS fund transfer, etc. even during the lunch hour.
SBI NEFT is available throughout the working hours of the branch. The clearing of NEFT transactions takes place in batches, be it online or offline. These transactions are slotted in batches that get cleared every 30 minutes. It starts from 00:30 and the last clearing time is 00:00 hours.
For all SBI NEFT transactions done online, there is no time restriction and the service is available 24×7 that is cleared in 48 batches. It can be done through netbanking and SBI YONO app.
SBI RTGS is also available through the working hours of the branch. The transaction is done in real-time and the amount is reflected in the beneficiary’s account immediately. It is available 24×7 online that can be done through SBI netbanking and SBI YONO app.
RTGS is not available at the bank branches on 2nd and 4th Satudays and all Sundays.
RTGS processing time gets delayed between 11:50 pm and 12:30 am on all days due to RTGS cut-off period at RBIs end.

Most SBI branches close at 5 pm. However, some branches might still function till 6 pm or later depending on the business needs.
SBI employees follows staggered lunch timings from 1 pm to 3 pm. Thus, customers can avail services even between 1 pm to 3 pm.
SBI remains operational on the first, third and fifth Saturdays and is closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month.
Some SBI branches open at 9 am whereas some branches start banking operations at 10 am.
SBI provides the facility to transfer funds from the SBI account to any other account from the branch.
Only those branches that are enabled for NEFT and RTGS provide this facility during banking hours. The list of such NEFT and RTGS-enabled branches can be checked at http://www.rbi.org.in/scripts/neft.aspx for NEFT and http://rbidocs.rbi.org.in/rdocs/RTGS/DOCs/RTGEB1110.xls for RTGS. For those branches where such facilities are not enabled, people can utilise the facility through SBI YONO app or netbanking.
