Federal Bank Timings

Post COVID-19 lockdown, usual operating hours have been restored at all Federal Bank branch offices i.e. 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM from Monday to Friday. At the beginning of lockdown, Federal Bank had altered its working hours, reduced the total working strength in the office and barred all the non-essential services such as passbook updates to safeguard its customers and the staff.

All banking services including passbook printing, account opening, cash deposit and withdrawal, cheque clearing, remittances and government transactions, and note exchange services are now available at the bank.

The customers visiting the branch offices are advised to take necessary precautions. 

• Customers will not be allowed to enter the bank without a face mask
• Social distancing should be maintained at the bank
• Customers should sanitise properly before and after leaving the premises
• Proper queues should be maintained for social distancing purpose
• Customers should not visit the bank unless absolutely necessary
• Safety staff should ensure proper temperature check for every customer

The bank is encouraging its customers to use Federal Bank Net-banking and Federal Bank Mobile Banking services for most of its banking operations. The motive behind this is to avoid crowding at banks or even ATMs.

NEFT Timings

NEFT transactions will be processed in the bank within working hours Monday to Friday. However, the NEFT facility is available 24 x 7, 365 days for online banking.

RTGS Timings

RTGS transactions will be processed in the bank within working hours from Monday to Friday. However, through FedNet it is available from 7 AM to 6.00 PM.

The Business hours during which customers can visit the bank to conduct their business with the bank are listed below. The office hours of Federal Bank are also given for reference.

Do note customers can visit the bank during business hours alone. In the remaining working hours, the bank conducts its own business. Also, the bank will remain closed on 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Federal Bank recognizes a half hour interval during the day. During this time period, the bank temporarily shuts down so that the employees can take their lunch. The timing of this interval is:

2:00 PM to 2:30 PM

During this time period, bank officials won’t be able to serve their clients as this is their mandated interval. Clients should try to avoid visiting the bank around this time if they don’t want their visit to be hitch free.

Users availing safe deposit lockers at Federal Bank can access them during the branch’s business hours only. Also, the lockers can be accessed during weekdays only. Applicants looking forward to open a safe deposit locker with the bank should apply for it during business hours only.
