Allahabad Bank Timings

In August, Allahabad Bank restored its normal working hours for the customers. The bank is now operating from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM from Monday to Saturday (except on 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays). Besides this, all the non-essential services which were previously barred, have been resumed. 

Extra precautionary measures are being taken at the bank-

• Customers will not be allowed to enter the bank without a face mask
• Customers should sanitize their hands properly before and after visiting the bank
• Proper queues should be maintained for the purpose of social distancing
• Security staff should ensure proper temperature check for every customer

Advisory: All the account-holders are requested not to visit the bank premises unless it is absolutely necessary. Allahabad Bank Net-banking and Mobile Banking should be used to avail most of the banking services.

NEFT Timings

NEFT transactions from the branch office are processed between 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on working days.

Also, service charges applied to the transfer of funds via NEFT initiated online have been removed temporarily. 

RTGS Timings

RTGS transactions are processed in Allahabad Bank branch offices between 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on working days.

As directed by the RBI, service charges applied to fund transfer via RTGS initiated online have been suspended. Customers can use digital banking platforms to process RTGS transactions for free.

Clients who wish to conduct their bank related business can visit the bank during these working hours. The bank won’t be open for business on 2nd and 4th Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.

Allahabad Bank has not set a distinct lunch hour for its employees. However, employees take their lunch break around 1:00 PM and that too on a rotational basis. This is done so that the bank’s services are not disrupted. Also, the lunch timings may vary across Allahabad Bank’s branches.

Customers can visit Allahabad Bank and access their locker during banking hours. However, since the bank is closed on Sundays, 2nd and 4th Saturdays, and public holidays no locker visits will be allowed. Also, customers who wish to avail locker services can do so during the banking hours only.

Allahabad Bank is one of the oldest joint-stock banks in India. It is also one of the longest-serving banks of the country as it completed 150 years of operations on 24 April 2014. The bank was initially established by a group of Europeans. However, after the swadeshi movement, the bank saw a spurt in deposits. The bank was nationalized after Independence seeing its continued growth. The Bank received 1882^nd rank from the Forbes Global 2000 list. At the end of the financial year 2018, the bank had done a total business of 3.8 trillion rupees.
