Banks observe holidays as per the list provided by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). This list is released every year by the central bank and is adhered to by all banks across India. Following is the list of upcoming bank holidays in May 2019 in India.

As per the guidelines of RBI, banks across India are closed on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. They are operational only on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays of every month, provided no other bank holiday falls on these days. In May 2019, the bank holidays on Saturday will be on 11th and 25th.
