DBS Spark Credit Card’s incremental rewards program makes it a decent option for high-spenders. You can save a good amount on reaching monthly and quarterly spending milestones, depending on the variant you own. Movie benefit, fuel surcharge waiver and complimentary lounge access further add to its benefits.
Though a low reward redemption value (Rs. 0.20) is expected from the Spark5 variant (as it charges a low annual fee), Spark10 and Spark20 should have been designed to offer better value-back. For example, if you spend Rs. 30,000 per month with the Spark20 variant, you would get 200 CashPoints p.m. on transactions up to Rs. 20,000 and 500 CashPoints on transactions above Rs. 20,000. This makes 8,400 CashPoints in a year, which would give a monetary value-back of Rs. 1,680. This value-back is quite low as compared to entry-level cards like YES Bank Paisabazaar PaisaSave, American Express SmartEarn and IDFC FIRST Select Credit Card.
Value-back on DBS Spark Credit Card is offered as CashPoints, as shown below:
Incremental Rewards on Reaching Monthly Milestones
Quarterly Milestone Benefit
CashPoints Redemption
Accumulated CashPoints can be redeemed against flights, hotels, vouchers, etc. through DBS Banks Reward Redemption Platform – DBS Delights.
In addition to the incremental rewards structure, DBS Spark Credit Card also offers bonus CashPoints as welcome benefit, along with some additional benefits across movies, travel and more, as shown below:
Welcome Benefit: On making the first purchase within 30 days of card setup, the following benefits can be availed:
Domestic Lounge Access
Movie Benefit
Fuel Surcharge Waiver
