Few factors help determine whether or not your YES Bank credit card application will be accepted or not. The factors are:
Age – YES Bank requires that its applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 60 years.
Income – The minimum income required varies from one credit card to another. Typically, premium cards require a high income from their applicants. Still, at Rs. 25,000 p.m. for salaried individuals the YES Prosperity Rewards Plus has the lowest income requirement of all the YES Bank credit cards.
| Note Income plays a big part in establishing the credit limit of a credit card. Hence, applicants who earn more are likely to get a higher credit limit. |
Credit Score – YES Bank prefers to give their credit cards to individuals who have a good credit score. Good credit is 750 or more. It shows that the customer is financially responsibly and able to pay off the dues. However, applicants that have a low credit score or no credit history might get their application rejected.
Debt to Income Ratio (DTI) – It is the ratio between your debts and monthly income. Applicants with a low score are more than likely to secure a YES Bank credit card.
Number of Credit Cards Owned – YES Bank will look into the details of previously owned credit cards. Those who have more than one card have a much better chance of securing a YES Bank credit card. Also, the credit limit on the new YES Bank credit card will be dependent on the limit of previously owned cards.
Payment Defaults – If an applicant has defaulted or settled on a loan or credit card payment then their application might be rejected. This default will remain with the customer for years to come.
