You can avail the UMANG App download facility on your mobile phone using any of the following means given below –

• Scan the QR Code provided on the official website
• Give a missed call on 9718397183 and download the app using the link sent on your phone
• You may also visit Google Play Store (Android users) or App Store (Apple users) and type ‘UMANG app’ to download the application on your phone

Given below is a step-by-step guide for new user registration on the UMANG app:

Step1. Launch the UMANG app and click on the “Register” option.

Step2. Enter your mobile number in order to generate an OTP to complete the UMANG app registration process.

Step3. Once you have generated and input the OTP, you will be asked to create an MPIN.

Step 4: Once you have set an MPIN, the registration gets completed and you can view the UMANG app homepage.

Alternatively, you can also register using Meri Pehchaan that is the National single sign-on – one citizen login for accessing multiple public services from various departments.

For UMANG app login/UMANG login, you can use any of the methods/means mentioned below:

• You may use the mobile number registered with UMANG app and M-PIN to log in
• You may do UMANG login using the registered mobile number and OTP
• You can also do UMANG App login using Meri Pehchaan

The Umang application offers the following benefits to its users-

• You can avail 2,044 different services offered by the central and state governments easily. Apart from this, you can also avail various bill payment services.
• Simple categorisation of services as Recently Used, New and Updated, Trending and Popular has been made to enhance the app interface
• You can easily search for a specific State or Central Government service using the in-app filter

UMANG application facilitates its users with innumerable services. Given below are a few of them-

Service	Description
DigiLocker	A secure cloud-based platform for storing, sharing, getting issued and verifying documents/certificates.
Aadhaar Card	You can View and/or Download your Aadhaar Card from your DigiLocker Account
EPFO	This service on UMANG allows you to monitor your EPF (Employee Provident Fund) account balance, EPS pension account balance, etc. using UAN and OTP to registered mobile number.
NPS	Logging in to the National Pension System account through UMANG App allows you to check your Tier 1 and Tier 2 Account balances, through PRAN and password
Pay Income Tax	This module available through UMANG application allows tax payers to pay their Advance Tax, Self-Assessment Tax, etc. using Challan 280. After tax payment, the tax payment challan can also be tracked using the “Track Challan Status” service.
Ayushman Bharat	This is National Health Protection Scheme currently being implemented as a Pilot Project to provide primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare network to masses.
e-RaktKosh	This UMANG module is designed to provide access to blood banks through greater digitisation and connectivity of blood banks across the country.
Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna	This part of the Government-promoted app is designed to provide services that promote financial inclusion across the country.
Jeevan Pramaan	The Jeevan Pramaan service is available only to the pensioners allowing them to generate a Life Certificate using mobile handset connected to an external biometric device
Parivahan Sewa – Vahan	At present, this module in UMANG allows you to make payment of commercial road tax if Registration Certificate of the vehicle is updated on Digilocker.
LPG Services	UMANG App can be used to book cylinders online, request for refills, subsidies, mechanic services, surrender connections, etc. These services can be availed on HP Gas, Bharat Gas and Indane Gas.
Pension Services	Pensioners can avail services offered by the Department of Pension & Pensioner’s Welfare. The Pension Portal on the app can be used to avail facilities like pension application, retirement benefits, grievances, etc.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Housing for All (Urban) (PMAY)	PMAY (U) addresses urban housing shortage among the urban poor including slum dwellers by ensuring a pucca house to eligible urban poor. You can use the UMANG app to register, check application status, subsidy calculator, etc.
PAN (Permanent Account Number)	Users can avail PAN card-related services such as apply for a new PAN, make corrections/changes in PAN card, check status, download e-PAN are more
Passport Seva	The UMANG app can be used to access various Passport Seva-related services like locating a center, calculating fee payments, checking appointment availability, tracking passport application status, etc.
National Scholarship Portal	It seeks to ensure disbursement of scholarships to students on time. It is a common portal for various scholarship schemes of Central and State Governments. Students can apply for fresh scholarship, renewal, check eligibility, track application status, etc. using the portal.
AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)	AICTE is a statutory body responsible for proper planning and coordinating the development of technical education and management education systems in India. It accredits graduate and PG programs under specific categories at Indian institutions as per its charter. Users can check approved institutes, eligibility apply for PG and PMSSS scholarships and track application status.

Note: The list of services offered by the government through the UMANG application mentioned above is not exhaustive. There are various other central and state government services that you can avail through UMANG app.

You can avail the UMANG app services by downloading the application on your mobile phone/tablet by either scanning the QR Code on the UMANG website, giving a missed call or sending an SMS from your registered mobile number.

While the UMANG App registration/UMANG login can be completed using any phone number in India and OTP/password, individual services have to be accessed using credentials specific to that service. For example:

• To access the EPF module, you will need to provide UAN along with OTP sent to your registered mobile number
• To access NPS in the UMANG app, you need to provide PRAN along with password/OTP sent to your registered mobile number
• To access the Income Tax Payment through UMANG feature, you will have to provide PAN along with key details such as date of birth and so on

In order to check your EPF balance on the UMANG app, follow these steps-

1. On the UMANG app homepage, click on the Services tab and search for “EPFO”
2. Click on the EPF module. This will redirect you to the UMANG EPFO login page
3. Enter the details such as your UAN (Universal Account Number) and OTP sent to registered mobile number in order to log in.
4. Once you login, you can select either of the options from Employee Centric Services, General Services, Employer Centric Services, Pensioner Services and Register and Track Grievance services depending on your need.
5. In order to check your EPF Passbook balance, you need to click on the“View Passbook” link on the UMANG EPF page  and enter your UAN and the OTP that you receive on your mobile number
6. You will now get directed to the passbook account detail page. This page shows the UAN you are logged in with and the EPF account details associated with the UAN provided
7. Click on the specific EPF account number to view the detailed EPF passbook and your EPF account balance. You can also click on the ‘Deposits’ or ‘Withdrawals’ options to view specific transactions made on your EPF Account.

Here is a step-by-step guide to raise an EPF withdrawal claim using the UMANG app:

1. Log in to the UMANG app’s EPF portal using your UAN and OTP
2. Under Employee Centric Services, click on the ‘Raise Claim’option
3. Choose the type of withdrawal and submit the same through UMANG app
4. You will get a reference number that you can use to track the status of your claim
