PNB has launched special credit cards for defence personnel with the name PNB Rakshak RuPay credit cards. It is available in two variants – RuPay Platinum and RuPay Select. The cards are issued under PNB Rakshak Plus Scheme to all serving, veterans and trainees.

PNB Rakshak RuPay Credit Card Features

Features and benefits of PNB Rakshak RuPay credit cards are as follows –

PNB Rakshak RuPay Credit Card Eligibility Criteria

PNB Rakshak RuPay Platinum and RuPay select credit cards are issued only to those who are serving in defence, trainees and veteran pensioners. The additional eligibility criteria for these cards are as follow:

  • A credit score of 750 and above is considered good for getting the credit card approved
  • People having PNB Rakshak Plus savings account can get this card without much problem
  • Having an account in PNB is a must for this card

Documents Required for PNB Rakshak RuPay Credit Card

Following documents have to be furnished at the time of applying for Rakshak RuPay credit cards –

  • Salary or pension receipt provided by the defence ministry
  • Copy of PAN card (Form 60-61 with photo ID proof if no PAN card is there)
  • Copy of address proof – Telephone bill, voter ID, electricity bill, driving license, passport, etc.
  • Copy of income proof – Form 16, ITR, salary slip

How to Apply for PNB Rakshak RuPay Credit Card

Applying for PNB Rakshak RuPay credit card online is not possible. You will have to visit the PNB branch where you have the PNB Rakshak savings account. You will have to fill the credit card application form and attach the required documents with the form. Upon approval by the bank, the credit card will be dispatched to the registered mailing address.

Is PNB Rakshak RuPay credit card issued to police personnel as well?
No, the PNB Rakshak RuPay credit card is issued to only defence personnel. Police and paramilitary officers can apply for other defence credit cards.

How can I access airport lounge on PNB Rakshak RuPay Platinum credit card?
There are no complimentary airport lounge accesses on the platinum variant of Rakshak credit card. In case you want to avail lounge access, you can make the payment as specified by the lounge operator.

How to claim the cashback earned on using the Rakshak RuPay credit card?
The cashback earned by using the RuPay credit card at partner outlets will be credited to the credit card account within 60 days of the transaction date.

How can I save from paying the annual fee on the PNB Rakshak credit card?
If you use the credit card at least once every quarter, your annual maintenance charges would be waived off for both Platinum and Select variants.

How much limit will I get on PNB Rakshak RuPay credit card?
The credit limit is decided by the bank, here PNB. However, for Rakshak cards, PNB generally offers two times the monthly salary or pension as the credit limit. However, it can be increased by contacting the branch.
