Karur Vysya Bank Green Kisan Credit Card

1. Limit of the card: There is no pre-set limit on the Green Kisan Credit Card. This means there is no ceiling on the maximum or minimum amount of money that the farmer can withdraw using the Green Kisan Credit Card.
2. Easy Availability: This card can be availed by all the farmers or people engaged in the agricultural sector. People living in rural, urban or semi urban areas can all apply for the Green Kisan Credit Card.
3. Margin: The card has 20% of margin on the amount of the loan taken by the farmer using the Green Kisan Credit Card.
4. Validity of the card: The Green Kisan Credit Card offered by the bank is valid for 5 years and the card is annually reviewed by the bank.
5. Processing Charges on the card: A processing fee of 0.3% is charged on the Green Kisan Credit Card offered by the bank.
6. Security of the card: The farmers will not have to give any security on the loan amount less than ₹ 2.5 Lakhs. The loan amount above ₹ 2.5 Lakhs will need third party guarantee as security or land mortgage as the security.
7. Withdrawal on the card: The amount of money from the green card Kisan credit card can be done either by using cheque, or through POS or through ATM. The repayment of the loan amount is to be done within a year period that is 12 months from the date of the loan amount.
8. Repayment- The maximum repayment tenure is 1 year in case of cash credit and 7 years for term loans.

Any individual who is cultivator or owner of the land is eligible for the card. They just need to give valid documents with the bank while applying for the card and meet other criteria set by the bank such as-

• Minimum age of the applicant is 18 years.
• Maximum age is 75 years.
• A borrower above 70 years of age needs to bring a co-borrower who is less than 60 years old. Such co-borrower must be an immediate family member or a legal heir to the primary borrower.

• Through the nearest branch of the Karur Vysya Bank.
• Online application for the card through the bank website.
