How to apply for HDFC add-on credit card?
You can apply for HDFC add-on credit card by downloading an application form online and submitting it at the nearest HDFC Bank branch. You can apply for up to 3 cards using a single form. On the application form, you need to mention the primary HDFC card that you own, credit card number, customer ID, primary card holder’s name and mobile number. Then, you are required to mention the details of the add-on cardholder such as name, date of birth, mobile number, Aadhaar number, PAN, HDFC Bank account number and email ID. You should also tick the box for the relation that you have with the add-on card holder.

Things to Keep in Mind before applying for HDFC Add-on Credit Card
Since an add-on credit card is offered as a supplementary benefit on the primary credit card by HDFC Bank, there are a few terms and conditions that the bank wants its users to know-
- Primary card holder can set a sub-limit on his add-on credit cards.
- Sub-Limit of the add-on card should be within the overall credit limit of the primary card.
- Cash withdrawal limit on the add-on card will be the cash limit opted for by the primary card holder or the sub-limit chosen on the add-on card whichever is lower.
- Sub-limit on add-on card can be used only at Point of Sale (PoS) or swipe machine transactions and not for online transactions.
- Sub-limit is set for statement cycles and not for annual spending.
- If the primary user does not choose a sub-limit, a default limit of 100% of the primary card’s credit limit will be set as the spending limit for add-on card.
- The sub-limit can be set or reset any time by calling on the bank’s customer care number.
- The credit limit on add on cards is shared with primary cardholder in the form of sub-limit.
- If no sub-limit is set by the primary cardholder, the entire limit on the primary credit card will be taken as sub-limit for the add-on card.
