Credit Card PIN is a 4-digit or in some cases a 6-digit unique identification number that is assigned to a specific card. Whenever you use your card for any particular transaction, you are required to enter the PIN. The payment system matches the PIN and the user ID before giving authorization for facilitating any transaction. In this way, the banks ensure that every transaction made using a credit card is safe and secure.
| It is advised not to share your Credit Card PIN with anybody to avoid any fraudulent transactions. Also, keep changing your PIN at least every 6 months to ensure your credit card is less susceptible to misuse. |
Your credit card issuer provides you with the credit card PIN in your welcome kit. However, it is advisable to change your PIN once you receive the welcome kit. Your credit card PIN should be kept confidential to avoid any misuse.
