The Personal Identification Number or the PIN of a credit card is a 4-digit number used for authentication purposes while making transactions using the credit card. It is required to authenticate transactions made by the credit card. Central Bank of India credit card PIN generation can be done by various means which are given below.
Do note that Central Bank of India has formed a partnership with SBI Card to provide their credit cards. Hence, cardholders will have to use SBI Card’s services to generate or change their card’s PIN.

Step 1- Click here to visit SBI card website
Step 2- Click on Ask ILA present on lower right section of the screen
Step 3- Select Login. Enter User ID and Password
Step 4- Click on “How do I generate transaction PIN for my credit card?”
Step 5- Select Update PIN. Enter the OTP and Submit it
Step 6-Provide the new PIN and click on Update PIN

Step 2- Choose the preferred language
Step 3- Choose option 6 for PIN generation
Step 4- Enter credit card number, Date of Birth & expiration date in the given format
Step 5- Enter the 6 digit OTP received on registered mobile number or email address
Step 6- Set the new PIN
You will hear a confirmation message on the IVR itself
Step 1- Insert the credit card in the ATM and choose the desired language
Step 2- Select the option ‘Create PIN using OTP’
Step 3- An OTP will be sent to your mobile number
Step 4- Provide this OTP and create your PIN
Step 5- Re-enter the PIN and submit your request
Step 6- The PIN has been generated successfully

It is not advisable to have the same PINs for all your credit cards as that could put you in at a risk, rather have a different PIN for different credit cards for greater security in events such as your credit card getting stolen or lost.

This is done in order to ensure safety and is included as an additional security measure to make sure that your card is not misused by others.
What do I do if I notice a fraudulent transaction on my credit card?
Immediately, notify your credit card service provider that the transaction was not yours. If the error is from the bank’s side, then you will not need to hotlist the credit card.
What should I do if I forget my PIN and enter it incorrectly?
After the third time of entering the PIN wrong, your card will be blocked for security reasons. You can call customer care and follow the instruction to reset your PIN.
