Central Bank of India credit cards come packed with privileges and benefits. Customers who want to enjoy these benefits can apply for their credit cards. For this they should meet the Central Bank of India credit card eligibility criteria which are given below.

Age – CBI like other credit card providers only gives credit cards to those individuals that have a valid source of income. Therefore, the cards are not given to individuals who are minor, below 18 years of age. Also, Central Bank of India credit cards are not given to user’s who are above the age of 65 years.
Income – Central Bank of India offers a range of credit cards that have their own minimum income requirements. However, the applicant must earn Rs. 1.50 lakh per annum in order to be eligible for a VISA or MasterCard credit card. There is no minimum income requirement for RuPay credit cards.
Prior Relationship – Central Bank of India provides credit card to only those applicants that have maintained a prior relationship with the bank. Customers don’t have to open any specific account, any account will do.
Credit Score – There is no mandatory Credit Score which the customer must meet. However, the bank will make a hard enquiry into the customer’s credit profile. So, customers who have a good credit score without any defaults will have a better chance of availing a Central Bank of India credit card.

Factors that affect the chances of approval for a Central Bank of India credit card are given below:
Income – Central Bank of India has set minimum income criteria for Visa and Mastercard credit cards. However, there is no minimum income requirement for RuPay credit cards. Also, it is the customer’s income that affects the credit limit assigned to them.
Prior Relationship – Customers who don’t have a prior relationship with the bank cannot avail Central Bank of India credit card.
Credit Score – It shows the financial responsibility of the applicant. Customers that have a good credit score without any defaults have a better chance of securing a credit card
Age – Customer’s age impacts their chances of getting a credit card. Applicants that are between the ages of 18 and 65 years only can secure a credit card.
Nationality – Customers must be Indian citizens to avail Central Bank of India credit card.
Should I open a savings bank account with CBI in order to get their credit card?
It is not necessary to open a savings bank account to avail a Central Bank of India (CBI) credit card. Any type of account with the bank will do. Do note that CBI does not give credit cards to users who do not have a functioning relationship with the bank at the time of card application
Can I Apply for Central Bank of India credit card even if I do not meet its eligibility criteria?
If you fail to meet the CBI credit card eligibility criteria then your credit card application will be rejected.
How can I check my Central Bank of India credit card balance?
Customers can check Central Bank of India credit card balance by visiting their internet banking portal. The balance is also reflected in monthly credit card statement. Moreover, customers can call on the customer care centre at 1800 222 368.
How can I get a CBI credit card?
Customers can avail a Central Bank of India (CBI) credit card by visiting the nearest Central Bank of India branch. Once there customers can contact the bank’s representative who will guide them in the process.
