Generally, when you open an Axis bank savings account, you get a linked debit or ATM card alongside it. However, you get the option to either upgrade your existing card or even apply for any new debit or credit card of your choice. How to Apply for Debit Card Online:

Step 1: Open the Axis bank official website home page.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Explore Products’ option and go to ‘Cards’.
Step 3: Select the ‘Debit Cards’ option.
Step 4: Choose any debit card from the list of cards offered by the bank and check eligibility.
Step 5: Click on the ‘Apply Now’ button and fill the online form to submit your application.

How to Apply for Axis bank debit card offline:

You can get your Platinum debit card by applying offline by visiting the nearest Axis bank branch. You have to fill the respective application form and submit it, along with any required documents. After the bank verifies your eligibility and other details, it issues you the debit card. Besides this, you can also contact the Axis bank customer care to apply for a new card.

The Axis bank debit card users can activate their card by generating its PIN. The card PIN generation can be done using both online and offline modes which are as follows:

Via Axis Bank ATM:

• Insert your card in the Axis bank ATM and click on ‘Set PIN’.
• Enter the registered account details, like your date of birth, mobile number and the passcode sent to that number.
• On the next screen, enter the new PIN of choice to complete the process.

Via Mobile Banking:

• Login to the Axis bank mobile banking app and click on ‘Home’ icon.
• Go to Banking > Services > Debit Card > Set/Rest PIN.
• Select your debit card, enter the 4-digit PIN, re-enter the PIN and then type-in your MPIN.

Via Internet Banking:

• Log in to your internet banking account and go to Cards > Debit Cards > Change PIN.
• Enter and re-enter the new PIN and confirm.
• Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to the registered mobile number and click on ‘Confirm’.

Via Phone Banking:

• Call Axis bank phone banking at 1860-419-5555 or 1860-500-5555 from your registered mobile number.
• Choose option 1 for information on your banking account.
• Go to option 4 for debit card related services and select ‘Generate PIN’ to generate activation passcode.
• Enter your card number, expiry date and date of birth to get the passcode.
• Again, call the phone banking number and reach the ‘Generate PIN’ option to enter the details as mentioned above.
• Then, dial 2 if you have received the activation passcode, when prompted.
• Then enter the card number, validity, DOB and code to receive the new ATM PIN over call and through an SMS.

Q. How to block my Axis bank Platinum debit card?
A. To block your lost or stolen Axis bank debit card, you can either send an SMS ‘BLOCKCARD’ to 5676782 or +919717000002 or even call the Axis bank emergency helpline number +91-22-67987700.
You can also block your card via internet banking. First, log in and then click on ‘Block Card’ under the ‘Debit Cards’ section. To block debit card via Axis Mobile App, log in and visit Banking > Services > Debit Cards > Block & Replace.
