Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card comes with travel focused benefits where the maximum value-back is offered on travel bookings made via Kotak Unbox platform. This value-back is provided through 5% Air Miles accrual on spends and 1:1 Air Mile redemption ratio on this platform. Furthermore, this Kotak Credit Card offers domestic and international airport lounge access without any spending condition associated with it. The joining and renewal bonuses further allow the cardholders to optimise their savings. However, in addition to these benefits, this card falls short when it comes to lifestyle benefits beyond travel. Moreover, though it comes with the forex mark-up fee of 2%, which is lower than the standard 3.5%, it does not offer any Air Miles as rewards on international transactions. This reward structure, thus, favours domestic travellers over those who travel abroad.
Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card is one of the 3 travel credit cards offered by Kotak Mahindra Bank in its Air series, which now includes Kotak Air, Kotak Air+ and Kotak Air+ Prime. Kotak Air+ Prime comes at the same annual fee as the Air+ variant at Rs. 3,000 and offers quite similar benefits, except accelerated rewards on auto dealer merchants, 500 Air Miles extra as fee payment bonus, addition of Air India as partner airline for Air Mile to partner mile conversion, and a spend-based annual fee waiver. Read on to know about the features and benefits of Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card in detail.

Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card stays true to its travel card status by offering up to 5% rewards on travel spends, though this accelerated value-back is limited to travel bookings made on Kotak Unbox platform and auto dealer merchants. Moreover, even the base reward rate offered on other spends stands strong at 2%. In addition to this reward accrual as Air Miles, you can also redeem these miles on Kotak Unbox in 1:1 ratio or convert them to loyalty points for partner airlines and hotels. The complimentary airport lounge visits come without any spend-based condition, thus making travel comfortable and stress-free. The fee is well compensated through bonus Air Miles with the option to waive it by spending Rs. 4 lakh in a year which helps minimise the card usage cost. These benefits make this card suitable for those who travel often, especially domestically.
Everything you need to know about this credit card
Both Kotak Air+ and Kotak Air+ Prime credit cards come at an annual fee of Rs. 3,000 and offer similar benefits with minor differences. Kotak Air+ offers 2,500 Air Miles as joining and renewal bonus, while Kotak Air+ Prime offers 3,000 Air Miles instead. Kotak Air+ offers accelerated rewards only on flight/hotel bookings on Kotak Unbox, Kotak Air+ Prime also offers higher rewards on flight/hotel add-ons on Unbox, along with auto dealer merchants. Moreover, the Prime card variant also comes with an annual fee waiver option. So, the Prime variant is a better card option.
You can waive the annual fee of Kotak Air+ Prime credit card by spending Rs. 4 lakh or more in a year.
International transactions are excluded from the reward program of Kotak Air+ Prime Credit Card, so you do not earn any Air Miles on these spends.
