WHAT’S NEW!
HDFC Bank recently introduced the Diners Club Black Metal Edition Credit Card. Most features on this metal edition credit card are similar to that of the regular DC Black Card, including unlimited lounge access, 2X rewards on weekend dining, complimentary memberships, a low forex markup fee and more. However, it distinguishes itself from the DC Black Card by rewarding cardholders with 10,000 bonus rewards as milestone benefits, while the DC Black Card offers cult.fit membership or vouchers as milestone benefits. Another feature that makes this card different, is that despite having the same annual fee, it offers an annual fee waiver on annual spend of Rs. 8 Lakh, whereas DC Black Credit Card offers a fee waiver on annual spend of Rs. 5 Lakh.

HDFC Diners Club Black Credit Card comes with a high reward rate. Cardholders, especially those who put most of their expenses on credit cards, can get decent value-back out of this card. While it is a generous reward rate, it is not the highest. Cards like Axis Magnus and Axis Reserve come with a better reward rate; Standard Chartered Ultimate Credit Card comes with the same reward rate of 3.33%. What makes this card stand out is its travel benefits. Complimentary lounge access for primary and add-on members along with a low forex mark-up fee and facility to covert points to miles truly makes it a great fit for frequent travellers. Unlike HDFC Infinia Credit Card that requires a Priority Pass to visit the lounges, HDFC Diners Club Black offers direct access when you present the card at the Diners Club Lounges.
