How to Block Kotak Credit Card

The different ways to block a Kotak Mahindra Bank credit card are:

Via the Internet
Click here to go to Kotak Mahindra Bank’s website. Provide the registered mobile number and date of birth to verify your identity. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile.

Mobile Banking
Download the Kotak Mahindra Bank App and log in to it. Go to credit card section and click on service request. Then click on Report Lost/Damaged Card.

SMS
You can send a message from your registered mobile number. SMS KCCLOST(space)(last four digit of credit card number) to 5676788.

Phone Banking
Call the customer care number on 1860-266-2666. The executive will verify your identity by asking some questions; answer them to successfully block your card.

Things to Keep in Mind

  • Report the loss of the card by calling the customer care center immediately
  • Send an email to the bank as soon as possible to maintain a record of the reported loss of credit card
  • The cardholder will have to apply for a replacement credit card through internet or mobile banking after blocking your card
  • The cardholder must file a First Information Report with the local police in case the credit card is lost or stolen

Kotak Mahindra charges Rs. 100 along with applicable GST when user applies for a replacement credit card.

Can I block my credit card temporarily?
Yes, you can temporarily deactivate your Kotak Mahindra credit card either through Netbanking or Mobile banking. There is no limit on the number of times you can activate/deactivate your credit card.

My card was lost and there was an unauthorized transaction, I reported the same after 7 days. Will I get the insurance claim on my credit card?
All unauthorized transactions made within 7 days of losing the credit card are eligible for insurance claim.
