Q. How do I generate my Debit/ATM Card PIN?
You can generate a PIN (Personal Identification Number) for your ATM/Debit Card, via the nearest bank’s ATM, Mobile Banking or NetBanking. In addition to these, you can also contact the bank’s debit card customer care number, use SMS banking for your registered mobile number, or visit the nearest bank branch. Q. How do I activate my debit card?
After receiving your debit card, you need to first activate your card for hassle-free cash withdrawal and transactions. For debit card activation, you can visit your nearest ATM branch, call the bank’s customer care, or use Net Banking, as per your convenience.
Q. My debit card is lost. How do I block it?
To block your ATM card, you can contact the bank’s customer care, visit the nearest bank branch, use the bank’s mobile banking app, via the bank’s Netbanking portal, or SMS banking as per the bank’s automated responsive system. Click here to know more.
Q. How do I unblock my debit card?
In case your debit card is blocked by mistake, you can unblock it by visiting your nearest bank branch, and submitting a written application along with identity proof. In some cases, the debit card is blocked automatically due to security reasons.
This includes the expiry of the ATM card, the card being outdated, or entering the wrong ATM PIN thrice. Note that, if the card is blocked due to entering the wrong PIN, it may be unlocked after 24 hours. If not, you should contact the debit card customer care.
Q. How do I use an ATM/Debit Card?
You can use your ATM/ Debit card for withdrawing cash from your bank account, and make offline and online purchases. On different platforms, you will be required to enter different details. For ATM withdrawals, you will be required to enter your debit card PIN, for offline purchases you can tap your card for purchases up to Rs. 5,000 (if contactless transactions are enabled) or you need to enter your debit card PIN.
