American Express Platinum Card Lounge Access

American Express Platinum Card users can get complimentary access to 1,550+ airport lounges across 140 countries under the Global Lounge Collection. Lounge availability, access requirements and guest policies vary by lounge and network, so cardmembers should check the latest lounge information before travelling. For this, they can use American Express’ Lounge Finder.

American Express Global Lounge Collection

The Global Lounge Collection brings together multiple airport lounge programmes under the Platinum Card benefit. These include –

American Express Platinum Card Centurion Lounge Access

Platinum Cardmembers get unlimited complimentary access to all locations of The Centurion Lounge. To enter a Centurion Lounge, Platinum Cardmembers must present:

Travellers must arrive within 3 hours of their departing flight. During a layover, cardholders can access the lounge within 5 hours of their connecting flight. Same-day round-trip itineraries are not considered connecting flights.

Access is subject to space availability. Guest policies vary by location and may change.

Delta Sky Club Access with the American Express Platinum Card

Eligible Amex Platinum Card users can access Delta Sky Club when travelling on an eligible Delta flight. For access, cardmember must present a valid American Express Card, a government-issued ID and a boarding pass for an eligible same-day flight.

The boarding pass must show a reservation for a same-day Delta-operated flight, including a Delta connection, or a Delta-marketed flight operated by WestJet with a ticket number beginning with 006. The name on the boarding pass must match the name on the Card.

Priority Pass with the American Express Platinum Card

American Express Platinum Primary Cardholders as well as add-on cardholders can enrol in the Priority Pass programme. Once enrolled, members can access participating Priority Pass lounges by presenting their Priority Pass membership card and airline boarding pass.

Travellers should note that the complimentary lounge access through Priority Pass is offered only at eligible international airports. Lounge visits within India are payable at the prevailing rate for primary as well as add-on visitors.

Additional Global Lounge Collection Domestic Partner Lounges

The American Express Platinum Card also provides access to additional participating lounges within the Global Lounge Collection.

For participating lounges, cardholders generally need to present their valid eligible credit card, government-issued ID and a boarding pass showing confirmed same-day travel. Guest access, charges, participating locations, amenities and operating hours can vary by lounge.

The documents required depend on the lounge programme, but Cardmembers should generally follow these steps:

Step 1: Check the participating lounge

Use the American Express Lounge Finder to check whether the airport has a participating lounge.

Step 2: Check the lounge's access requirements

Requirements can differ between lounge programmes. Check whether the lounge has specific airline, fare, terminal or timing requirements.

Step 3: Carry your required documents

Depending on the lounge, you may need your American Express Platinum Card, Priority Pass membership, boarding pass and government-issued ID.

Step 4: Present your documents at the lounge

The lounge will verify the cardholder’s eligibility before granting entry.

Lounge access may be denied if the Cardmember does not meet the applicable entry requirements. Some reasons include:

• The Cardmember does not have the required card or membership
• The boarding pass does not meet the lounge's requirements
• The name on the boarding pass does not match the Card, where matching is required
• Required government-issued ID is not presented
• The Cardmember arrives outside the permitted access window
• The lounge is at capacity
• The lounge is not participating in the applicable programme
• The Cardmember is travelling on an excluded fare, such as Delta Main Basic for Delta Sky Club access
• Guest requirements have not been met
• The lounge has additional restrictions or house rules
