HDFC Bank Fixed Deposit Form
Type of Deposits:
Under this section depositors have to select the type of FD account they want to open-
- Regular Fixed Deposit
- Recurring Deposit
- Tax Saving Fixed Deposit
- Non-withdrawable Deposit
Following this the primary and secondary depositors have to fill in their full name along with the PAN number, Date of Birth and Customer ID.
Note that, the minimum investment amount for opening HDFC Bank FD is Rs 5,000 whereas the minimum investment amount for opening HDFC Bank RD is Rs 1,000.
FD Details:
Under this section, the depositors have to fill in the HDFC Bank FD rates, FD amount and FD tenure at which the deposit has to be fixed. Depositors also need to fill in the payment details, such as the cheque number or debit account number through which the amount will be transferred to the FD account.
Maturity Instructions:
Depositors can select whether they wish to renew the principal amount plus the interest amount, renew only the principal amount or do not want to renew the maturity amount.
Interest Payment:
Depositors have to select whether they want the interest payment quarterly or monthly. The bank also offers cumulative option (also referred to as re-investment option) wherein interest component is reinvested into the principal amount.
Payment Mode:
Here, depositors have to fill in the account number where they want their interest amount, principal amount and sweep-in amount to get credited.
Depositors can also opt for a sweep-in facility wherein if there is shortage of funds in their savings account, the bank will transfer the deficit amount from the fixed deposit account to their savings account without affecting the fixed deposit interest rate.
