In 2016, the State Government of Haryana launched Saksham Yuva Yojana to support the unemployed youth. The scheme revolves around the welfare of the unemployed graduates in the state by providing them with monthly unemployment allowance.

There are 2 major components that form the structure of this scheme:
Please Note : The honorarium to employees working on assignments from Departments/Boards/Corporations etc. will be given to the applicant by the Department of Employment from the approved budget and head of the existing UEA Scheme – 2005. However, the employees working on assignments from Private companies/enterprises will receive an honorarium NOT from the Department of Employment but by the concerned company/enterprise itself.
There is a certain criteria to obtain the benefits from this scheme. Here is a breakup of eligibility requirements for both the components of Saksham Yuva Yojana:
1. 10+2 or a Two year certificate/diploma course passed after Matric from any Board/University recognized by Haryana Government
2. Graduation from a University recognized by Haryana Government
3. Post-graduation from a University recognized by the Haryana Government
3. He/she should be registered under the Live Register of Employment Exchange (any) in the State for a minimum period of three years as on 1st November of the year

4. Minimum age to enter the scheme is 21 years and 35 years is the maximum age
5. Employees dismissed from any Government service are not eligible to benefit from the scheme
6. He/She should not be employed in any sector- public/private sector/quasi-government or self-employment
7. The annual family income must not exceed Rs.3 Lakhs from all sources
