The Dombivli Nagari Sahakari Bank or popularly known as DNS Bank, was established on 6th September, 1970. In 1996, the bank was recognised as Scheduled Bank. The bank has its head office in Dombivli, Thane. It became the first co-operative bank in the country to launch Mobile banking services. At present the bank has 57 branches in 12 districts of Maharashtra. Currently, the bank aims to provide high accounting standards and high end technology.
The bank started its operations with deposits of a few hundreds and now has expanded to a deposit base of Rs 3,950 crores. The bank was started with the aim of providing banking facilities to the common man who ends up falling prey to moneylenders during any financial emergency.
