Etihad Guest SBI Premier Card is an airline co-branded card – the semi-premium variant from SBI Card and Etihad Airways collaboration. The card rewards its users in the form of Etihad Guest Miles, which can be instantly redeemed against travel bookings or product purchase through Etihad website. While this card caters to frequent Etihad Airways travelers, its relatively low rewards rate keeps it from ranking among the top travel credit cards. Even with additional benefits like lounge access and companion voucher on reaching spending milestones, the overall value-back remains underwhelming, especially considering a comparatively high annual fee of Rs. 4,999.
Note: Issuance of Etihad Guest SBI Card Premier has been discontinued. Existing cardholders may continue using their card until further notice.
Etihad Guest SBI Premier Card provides Etihad Guest Miles on all spends, along with bonus miles as welcome benefit, as shown below:

Instant Redemption: Accumulated Etihad Guest Miles can be redeemed to make flight, hotels, rental car booking, etc. from etihadguest.com. There is no minimum or maximum limit on redemption.

If you spend Rs. 10 lakh in a year, split between two accelerated categories, you earn 50,000 Etihad Miles. Adding milestone (6,000 miles) and welcome (5,000 miles) bonuses, the total reaches 66,000 miles—enough for up to 2 Business Class or 5 Economy Class tickets from Ahmedabad to Abu Dhabi. In comparison, the Axis Atlas Card could earn you 50,000 EDGE Miles on the same spend, which can be converted to 1,00,000 Etihad Guest Miles (in 1:2 ratio), potentially covering up to 3 Business or 7 Economy Class tickets for the same route.

In addition to the regular miles earning, Etihad Guest SBI Premier Card also offers bonus miles on reaching spending milestones, along with lounge access and other benefits:

Etihad Guest SBI Premier Card can be a good option for travellers who prefer Etihad Airways. Cardholders earn Etihad Miles on their regular spends and get a companion voucher on spending Rs. 8 Lakh in a year. This voucher comes with the base fare waived off offering significant savings, especially on long-distance flights. Additional benefits like complimentary domestic and international airport lounge access, along with benefits on hotel, car rental, etc. further enhance its value.
High spenders, who can easily hit spending milestones and maximize rewards through regular transactions, would find Etihad Guest SBI Premier Card a viable option. However, it could be challenging for moderate spenders to extract full value from its benefits. Despite being a travel credit card, it charges a high forex mark-up fee of 3.5%, which makes international spends costlier for users. At the same price point (Rs. 4,999), several other travel-focused cards like Axis Atlas, Axis Horizon or HSBC Travel One can provide better value.
