Axis Magnus for Burgundy Credit Card is exclusively available to Axis Bank’s Burgundy clients at an annual fee of Rs. 30,000. While the card follows the same spend-based reward structure as Magnus, it offers enhanced travel benefits. Burgundy cardholders can earn up to 24% value-back on travel spends (through Travel EDGE) and up to 14% value-back on non-travel spends, by redeeming reward points against partner airlines or hotel loyalty programs in 5:4 ratio.
In addition to a good reward rate, the card offers several travel benefits, including unlimited lounge access with complimentary guest visits, a low forex mark-up fee of 2%, and complimentary airport meet-and-greet services, making it an excellent choice for frequent travellers.
Though Axis Magnus lost most of its sheen after a devaluation in April 2024, Magnus for Burgundy still stands strong on the travel front offering an excellent 5:4 conversion ratio for partner airlines. The card continues to offer airport meet & greet and lounge visits for guests– features that are no longer available on Axis Magnus. For Burgundy clients who spend heavily and travel frequently, this card can be a strong choice.

Axis Magnus for Burgundy Credit Card can be considered an upgraded variant of Axis Magnus. While the regular Axis Magnus Card offers up to 12% value-back with a 5:2 miles conversion ratio, the Burgundy variant increases this value back to up to 24% with miles conversion ratio of 5:4. Apart from this, the annual capping on miles conversion is also higher in Burgundy—10 Lakh reward points per year compared to 5 Lakh with Magnus card, allowing credit card cardholders to get better value. Additionally, while airport meet & greet services have been removed from the Magnus card, Burgundy cardholders still get 4 complimentary meet & greet services every year.
When it comes to joining & annual fees, Burgundy Card charges Rs. 30,000 but only offers welcome benefits worth Rs. 5,000, whereas Magnus card completely compensates for its joining fee by offering welcome benefits worth the joining fee of Rs. 12,500. Moreover, exclusive benefits at Trident and Oberoi hotels are available on Magnus Card but not on the Burgundy Card. So, while Burgundy Card improves the miles conversion ratio and offers some additional travel benefits, its overall value back is slightly impacted due to the lack of hotel and welcome benefits.
Axis Burgundy accountholders can apply for this credit card. To maintain Burgundy relationship with the bank, individuals need to meet the below criteria:
You are currently an Axis Burgundy client and maintain that relationship with the bank
You frequently travel and can maximize benefits by redeeming rewards for airmiles or hotel loyalty points
You are a high spender and can earn substantial reward points each month
You can reach the annual spending milestone of Rs. 30 Lakh to qualify for the annual fee waiver

Axis Magnus for Burgundy Credit Card offers a value back of up to 24% on travel spends through the Travel Edge portal. Cardholders can redeem accumulated reward points against partner airmiles and hotel loyalty points at a 5:4 ratio. Besides this, the card offers unlimited lounge visits with complimentary guest access and airport meet & greet services, which enhance its overall value for frequent travellers.
While most Axis Bank credit cards saw steep devaluations in 2024, Magnus for Burgundy remained strong, with no changes to its reward redemption ratio. However, limitations such as a redemption capping of 10 lakh reward points and the division of partners into Group A and Group B can be seen as drawbacks. Despite these, the card retains airport meet-and-greet services and complimentary guest visits at airport lounges—benefits that were removed from Axis Magnus. As a result, Axis Magnus for Burgundy remains a strong contender among premium cards, offering one of the highest value propositions for travel spends.
