Previously known as YES FIRST Exclusive, the YES Reserv Credit Card is designed to offer all-round benefits to its users. It offers accelerated earnings on online spends and rewards on often-excluded categories like insurance and utilities, making it a solid option for high-spenders. Benefits like lounge access and low forex mark-up fee make this card a good choice for frequent travellers as well. However, beyond these benefits, the card lacks lifestyle benefits across movies and dining, which are commonly found in other mid-range cards. Read on to know the detailed features and benefits of YES Reserv followed by its review.

Reward Earning
Reward Subscription Plan
Apart from the regular reward structure mentioned above, YES Bank offers paid reward subscription plans, which allows cardholders to earn up to 5X rewards on the same spends. The subscription fee varies across card variants; fees for YES Reserv Credit Card are shown below:

While the reward earning rate on YES Reserv is impressive, its poor redemption ratio of 4:1 significantly reduces the overall value. Though the cardholders can further accelerate their earnings by opting for a reward subscription plan, this comes at a steep price. For example, choosing the Rs. 3,500 subscription plan results in a 6% value-back on online spends—but the total annual cost rises to Rs. 5,999 (Rs. 3,500 for the plan + Rs. 2,499 annual card fee). In comparison, consumers could achieve better value at the same price by opting for category-specific cards that offer similar or higher returns, along with additional perks like lounge access, hotel privileges, dining, and movie benefits.

Other Benefits
Despite charging an annual fee of Rs. 2,499, the additional benefits on YES Reserv are limited. While the forex mark-up fee is lower than the standard 1.75%, it still falls short when compared to travel-focused cards like Federal Scapia and Ixigo AU, which offer zero forex mark-up fee. Beyond lounge access and the reduced forex fee, the card lacks meaningful travel perks. It also lacks milestone benefits that could help high-spenders maximize value. With no standout advantages in any particular category, the card struggles to find its position among other mid-range all-rounder options.

YES Reserv Credit Card makes a strong first impression with a good reward earning on online spends, along with offering benefits on commonly excluded categories like insurance and utilities. The card is particularly suited for high-spenders who prefer making most of their purchases online. Frequent flyers may also find value in the low forex mark-up fee and international lounge access. However, the card falls short in several key areas. A poor redemption ratio dulls its high earning rate and the lack of lifestyle benefits makes it less competitive among other all-rounder cards.
