As per the latest amendments, Vijaya Bank has merged with Bank of Baroda. The merger was proposed on September 1st, 2018 by the Government of India. It involved the merging of three banks namely, Dena Bank, Vijaya Bank and Bank of Baroda. The proposal got accepted on January 2nd, 2019 by the Union Cabinet as well as by the boards of all the three banks. From April 1st, 2019, the merger came into effect, shifting all the customers of Dena Bank and Vijaya Bank to Bank of Baroda.
Customers who had an FD account in Vijaya Bank are now transferred to Bank of Baroda.
