RTGS or Real Time Gross Settlement is an online remittance facility offered by all the banks in India that come under the purview of the RBI. As the name suggests, RTGS payments are processed on a real-time basis and are usually credited to the beneficiary account within an hour. One has to fill Vijaya Bank RTGS form to carry out such high volume transactions through the branch, else, they can do it online through net banking.

As per the current guidelines, RTGS transactions can be initiated for amounts above Rs. 2,00,000 only. You can apply for an RTGS transaction through the branch of your bank or through your net-banking account. RTGS is an irrevocable transaction and is processed based on the account number and IFSC of the beneficiary. In case of any discrepancy, the liability would be yours.

How to Fill Vijaya Bank RTGS Form

The Vijaya Bank RTGS form is same as most of the other banks with only the formatting being different but the details required are exactly the same. You can get the Vijaya Bank RTGS form from any branch but you need to visit your home branch for completing the RTGS transaction through the bank branch.

 

Here are the steps that you need to take: –

  • You need to have account details of the beneficiary ready with you as well as a blank cheque leaf for your account.
  • In the cheque, you need to fill out the entire details of the beneficiary such as name, bank, branch, IFSC, phone number etc.
  • Find out the form at the branch or ask a representative to help you with that.
  • Start filling the form carefully. Any mistake can lead to payment being credited to a wrong account.
  • In the form, you need to fill out the fields like date, cheque number, the amount in words and numbers, beneficiary name, account number, and IFSC. After filling the Vijaya Bank RTGS form, check that all the details are correct.
  • Now, submit the form to a bank officer, who will process the RTGS payment on your behalf.
  • The amount would be credited to the beneficiary account in an hour.

How to Do RTGS through Vijaya Bank Net Banking

If you have net-banking facility activated against your account, you can complete the RTGS transaction from the comfort of your home. Here are the steps involved: –

  • Log on to your net-banking account with your username and password.
  • Go to the payments section and select the RTGS option.
  • If you have not added the beneficiary yet, add the details first. It takes around 24-48 hours for a beneficiary to be activated.
  • Once the beneficiary is active, you just need to select the beneficiary from the list, enter the amount and make the payment.
  • You may be required to enter the transaction password and the OTP in the relevant fields.
  • The payment would be credited to the beneficiary account within an hour.
