Checking of Aadhaar Card Status Online using Enrolment Number
To check the status of your Aadhaar Card, all you need to do is to visit UIDAI’s online portal which is free of any fees or charges. Follow these steps to know how you can do it by using the enrolment number:
Step 1: Visit UIDAI’s official online portal i.e. https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: Under the ‘My Aadhaar’ menu, go to the ‘Check Aadhaar Update Status’ option and click on it
Step 3: You can also visit the link https://resident.uidai.gov.in/check-aadhaar to check the status
Step 4: Now enter all necessary details including your enrolment ID, time and date of enrolment, and also the security code
Step 5: After that, select the ‘Check Status’ button
Step 6: You will receive a message once your Aadhaar will be generated along with options to download it online or also on the mobile number which is registered.
Step 7: To download E-Aadhaar, you have to select the ‘Download Aadhaar’ option or click on the ‘Get Aadhaar on Mobile’ option
How to Check Aadhaar Card Status Online without using Enrolment Number?
Under any circumstances, if you forget your enrolment number or by chance misplace the acknowledgement slip, you can easily find it and later check the Aadhaar Card update status online. However, you must follow the below-mentioned steps to check:
Step 1: In order to retrieve your enrolment number, you must visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/retrieve-eid-uid
Step 2: After that, click on the Aadhaar Number (UID) or Enrolment Number (EID) to find it
Step 3: Fill in all the required details such as full name, email, mobile number, and the security code as well
Step 4: Now, One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 5: Enter the OTP and select the ‘Verify OTP’ option
Step 6: After the verification, your EID or UID will be sent to your registered mobile number as well as on your email address
Step 7: You can now check the Aadhaar update status by using this enrolment number

Steps to Check Aadhaar Card Status Status through URN (Update Request Number)
e-Aadhaar Card update status can also be checked through Update Request Number (URN). To check whether your Aadhaar is generated or not, you can also call on the enquiry number 1947. After the enrolment process is done, you can follow the below-mentioned steps to check your Aadhaar Card status using URN:
Step 1: You must visit the UIDAI’s official website i.e. https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/web/guest/check-status
Step 2: Now, you need to enter your Aadhaar Number and URN
Step 3: After that, you have to enter the security code and select the ‘Get Status’ option
Step 4: You will receive the status of your Aadhaar update
Step 5: Once you receive the status, you can now download and print your E-Aadhaar.
Checking Aadhaar Card Update Status without Acknowledgement Slip or Enrolment Details
Once you are done with the verification process, you will receive an acknowledgement slip. If by any chance, your slip goes missing or damaged, or you forget its number; you can very easily track even without the slip by simply following the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: You need to visit https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: You can select the ‘Retrieve or Lost UID/EID’ option under the ‘Aadhaar Services’ section
Step3: Now, you will receive an option of finding your lost Aadhaar Number or lost enrolment number as well
Step 4: Fill in all the necessary details such as your full name, your email address, and your registered mobile number
Step 5: Now a security code will be asked, enter it proceed further.
Step 6: Select the ‘Get OTP’ button and enter the OTP which will be delivered on your email ID or your registered mobile number
Step 7: Now select the ‘Verify OTP’ option
Step 8: After the successful verification, your Aadhaar enrolment number will be sent to your email address or on your registered mobile number
Steps to Check Aadhaar Card Update Status from India Post
When an applicant’s Aadhaar Card is generated and also dispatched By UIDAI, it is automatically sent to one his/her address via post in the span of 60 days to 90 days. However, to track your Aadhaar Card online via post, you need to follow these steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Go to the official website of UIDAI i.e. https://uidai.gov.in/
Step 2: Click on the ‘Check Online Demographic Update Status’ option under the ‘Update your Aadhaar’ section
Step 3: You will now be redirected to a new page. Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number
Step 4: Enter your URN or SRN
Step 5: Enter the ‘captcha verification’ as given in the image
Step 6: Click on the ‘Send OTP’ button
Step 7: An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number
