Policyholders can find their eight-digit policy number on the first page of the policy document. This policy number can be used to get any information about the policy either online or from the customer care representative.
It is not necessary to visit the branch to get updates about the policy. Policyholders can get the details on the website as well.
A new user needs to register on the portal and create an account by following the below mentioned steps:

4. On the new page that opens, enter your name, mobile number, password, email and other details. Click on ‘Register’.

Q1. What do we mean by waiting period?
In a health insurance policy, the period after which you can make a claim for any particular disease is called waiting period. For instance if the waiting period for maternity cover is 3 years, any costs under this cover can be claimed only after 3 years from the date of policy commencement.
Q2. Do I have to pay the difference if the expenses incurred in the hospital are more than the coverage?
Yes. An insurance company is liable to pay for the expenses limited to the sum insured. For eg., if you have a maternity coverage of Rs.10,000, and you have received a bill of Rs.15,000, you will have to pay Rs. 5,000 from your own pocket.
