Claim Process for ICICI Lombard Travel Insurance
In case of any claim arising due to medical emergency or unforeseen event, the insurance company settles the claim either as cashless or reimbursement. In cashless claims, payment is directly made to the insurance company. In reimbursement claims, the insured pays the bill which later gets reimbursed by the insurance company.
Medical claims
- In the event of a medical emergency, hospitalise the insured person in any of the network hospital
- Intimate the insurance company and assistance service provider about the claim
- For planned treatment, inform the hospital at least 5 days before hospitalisation
- For emergency conditions, inform the insurer within 24 hour or as soon as possible, but before discharge
- For reimbursement claims, the policyholders need to report the claim or condition within 30 days from the date of treatment completion
Total loss of checked-in luggage or baggage claims
- In the event of total loss of the checked-in baggage, insured should report the event to the common carrier
- The insured needs to communicate the same to the assistance service provider
Loss of passport claims
- Immediately report the event, in case of an eventuality
- Report the matter to the local police as well as inform the assistance service provider about the same.

Time Taken to Settle Claims

Renewal Process

Yes, the insured will get the refund on a pro-rata basis, if minimum 30 days are left for the policy to expire.
