Apply NowExisting Axis Bank FD accountholders can opt for close their FD account through three modes: net banking, Axis mobile app and by visiting Axis Bank branch. The maturity proceeds are credited to the source account upon successful closure of the fixed deposit account. Note that Axis Bank also allows its depositors to make partial withdrawals of their Axis Bank FD.
Stated below are the steps to close Axis Bank FD online through net banking:
Step 1: Login to Axis Net Banking (retail.axis.bank.in)
Step 2: Choose ‘Services’ Tab and click on Close/Partially Withdraw FD
Step 3: Select the FD account you want to close
Step 4: Fill in your Net Secure Code
Step 5: Tap on Submit.
Your FD closure request will be processed immediately

Listed below are the steps to close FD through the Axis Bank Mobile App.
Step 1: Login to Axis Mobile App using your mPIN
Step 2: Tap on ‘FD/RD’ menu
Step 3: Select on ‘FD’ and choose the fixed deposit account you want to close
Step 4: Enter your mPIN and submit
The request for fixed deposit account closure will be processed immediately.
FD accountholders can also visit the Axis Bank branch with their valid photo ID proof and FD Advice signed by deposit holders and fill out the Axis Bank FD closure form.
Depositors can get their Fixed Deposit Advice in the following three modes:
Axis Bank does not charge any penal rate on FDs opened for above 2 years and prematurely closed after 15 months of opening fixed deposit account. This is applicable to deposits opened or renewed on or after 15 December 2020. In Digital Fixed Deposit, no penal rate is charged on making partial withdrawal of up to 25% of the FD amount.
However, prematurely closing Axis Bank FD can attract penal charges of up to 1% on the contracted fixed deposit interest rate. Also depositor should note that premature withdrawal facility is not available on tax saving FDs having lock in period of 5 years and on non- callable FDs.
