Pre-Acceptance Medical Test to be eligible for the plan
A pre-acceptance medical test is a test required by the insurance company for checking the current status of health of the individual/members applying for health cover in order to check if there are any pre-existing conditions before the policy starts.
- For members aged below 45 years, pre-acceptance medical test is not required, regardless of the sum insured under the policy.
- For members aged above 46 years, pre-acceptance medical test is required. If the policy from Future Generali is issued to the individual, they are eligible to receive 50% payment for the test.
What is a Free-Look Period?
Free-Look period is the benefit of getting a trial run before all the terms of the policy are in place, in which you can return the policy. If you are not satisfied with the terms of the policy, you can return the policy documents within 15 days of receiving the policy.
You are also liable to receive a specific portion of the premium paid if no claim has been made within the time period. One of the 3 options are applicable according to the respective conditions:
- The entire premium paid except the expenses incurred by Future Generali i.e. stamp duty charges and medical test expenses.
- If the risk period has commenced, proportionate risk cover will be deducted from the payable amount
- If the risk has initiated in a partial manner, equivalent risk premium will be deducted according to the amount of risk covered.

- Pre-hospitalization expenses for 60 days prior to admission in hospital
- Post-hospitalization expenses for up to 90 days after admission in hospital
- 130 types of day care procedures
- If have opted for the platinum plan, you are liable to receive hospital cash benefit
- Patient care expenses amounting to up to Rs.350 per day for those who are over 60 years of age
- Pre-existing conditions of the insured members are covered after 4 consecutive terms of policy withdrawal
- Patient care compensation is given at the rate of INR 350 per day if the age of individual is over the age of 60
- In case of accident-related hospitalization, the amount limit is extended by up to 25% of the insured sum, which goes to a maximum amount of INR 1 lakh
- Joint-replacement surgery expenses will be reimbursed on regular basis if required in urgency due to an accident
