New Hyundai Tucson Launched at Rs 19 Lakhs

Hyundai India has launched the new Tucson starting at Rs.18.99 lakh. The new SUV is available in multiple diesel and petrol variants in both automatic and manual versions across various price points. The new Tucson was showcased at Auto Expo 2016.
Tucson’s features include LED DRL fog lamps, electronic parking brake, 18-inch alloys, gimmicky tailgate opening, LED headlamps with static bending lights, puddle lamps, ORVMs with heating function and 8-inch touchscreen music system that hosts Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto. It is 4,475mm in length, 1850mm in width and 1,660mm in height.

The thing to look out for is the newly introduced 2.0 diesel motor called e-VGT diesel which belongs to the R family that makes 185PS/410Nm. The manual version boasts of flex steer that can modulate the steering feedback on the selected mode — sports or normal. The diesel model has the drive mode select option which changes the engine mapping and throttle.

Hyundai Tucson features in the best-in-class safety category with 5 star Euro NCAP rating. Safety features include six airbags, hill assist, downhill brake control, ABS, front, rear and reverse parking sensors and ESP with VSM.

The SUV is available in five different colours and will be offered with optional Hyundai Premium Assurance Programme which provides warranty of 3 years (unlimited kilometres), 3 year roadside warranty and 3 time home-visits customer assistance.
