The procedure to use Paisabazaar’s FD Calculator is mentioned below:
You can also use the online FD Calculator to analyse returns for different combinations of tenure, principal amount and fixed deposit interest rates of other banks and NBFCs. This will help you to make an informed decision based on your cash flows and liquidity requirements.
The FD maturity depends on the tenure, interest rates, amount and the type of FD chosen. IDFC FIRST Bank offers four type of deposits – reinvestment (for above 180 days), short term (for 7 to 180 days), quarterly pay-out option (for above 180 days) and monthly pay-out (for above 180 days).
The monthly or quarterly interest pay-out option is ideal for individuals who require a fixed monthly or quarterly income to meet their expenses. This plan is especially popular among retired individuals. The reinvestment option would help the depositor benefit from the power of compounding, as the interest component remains invested and starts generating interest income on its own.

Stated below are some of the benefits of using the online fixed deposit calculator:
The FD calculator tool is free and can be used anytime and anywhere. Complex calculations are solved with the click of a button.
The results generated by IDFC FIRST Bank FD Calculator are instant. The automated process of the calculator saves time and provides accurate calculations. On the other hand, manual calculation of the maturity value or interest income for various FD tenures can be a time-consuming and tedious process, which can increase the chances of human errors too.
A fixed deposit calculator makes it easier to determine your FD earnings in advance, which helps with financial planning. Depositors should take into account their financial goals, investment horizon, liquidity requirements and cash flows before opening an FD account.
