RERA Madhya Pradesh

The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 was established in May 1, 2016 with an objective to protect homebuyers and help boost investments in the real estate industry. Following the provisions of the Act, the government of Madhya Pradesh has established a Real Estate Regulatory Authority in the state. The authority will be responsible to implement the provisions of the RERA Act in the state and resolve any grievances. The state government has also set up a website for RERA MP where all details regarding real estate agents, promoter and projects will be available. Such transparency in information will help prospective property buyers of Madhya Pradesh get all information about the property they want to buy.

How to Register Projects under RERA Madhya Pradesh

The steps to register your project on the RERA MP portal are:

Step 1: Visit the RERA Madhya Pradesh official website at http://www.rera.mp.gov.in/
Step 2: Select ‘Project Registration’ option from the ‘Registration’ drop-down menu.
Step 3: Read the instructions to add a project to the RERA MP online portal and click on ‘Proceed’.
Step 4: You will be redirected to a new page wherein you will have to fill the registration form.
Step 5: Once you fill the form with correct details, click on ‘Save’.
Step 6: You will be redirected to the payment gateway where you have to pay the registration fee and click on ‘Confirm’ to finish the registration process.

Documents Required for Registering a Project at RERA Madhya Pradesh

The list of documents required to register your project at RERA MP is:

• Passport size photographs of the promoter ( in case promoter is an individual)
• Passport size photographs of the chairman, director, etc. (if the promoter is a firm/company)
• Details of the registration including documents such as bye-laws, Memorandum of Association, etc.
• A copy of PAN Card of the promoter (in case promoter is an individual)
• A copy of PAN Card of the chairman, director, etc. (if the promoter is a firm/company)
• Balance sheet, audited Profit and Loss Statement and Auditors’ Report of last three financial years
• IT Returns of the promoter of last three financial years
• A copy of legal title deed and other legal documents showing the promoter’s ownership on the concerned property
• If the promoter is not the legal owner of the concerned property, then furnish the consent of the rightful owner along with the agreement for collaboration, development agreement or joint agreement
• Copies of consent and commencement certificates issued by the competent authority
• Approved layout plan and specification of the project
• Address details of the project
• Carpet and balcony area of the concerned project
• The total number and area of garage for sale in the concerned project
• The total number of open parking spaces in the concerned project
• Form B – Declaration along with an affidavit
