An extended-tenure home loan is a home loan with a repayment period of more than 30 years. Depending on the lender and the borrower's eligibility, the tenure can extend to 35, 40, or, in some cases, 42 years.
For example, Central Bank of India, Union Bank of India, State Bank of India, L&T Housing Finance, IDFC FIRST Bank, and Axis Bank offer home loans for up to 40 years. Piramal Finance offers loans for up to 42 years, while Bajaj Housing Finance, ICICI HFC and Godrej Housing Finance offer loans for up to 35 years. However, the loan period you can get depends on your age, income, job, loan amount, and the lender’s rules.
