Investment Objective
ICICI Prudential Large Cap Fund, formerly known as ICICI Prudential Bluechip Fund, seeks to provide its investors long-term capital appreciation and income distribution from a portfolio predominantly consisting of equity and equity related instruments of large cap companies.
Investment Strategies
- The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity and equity related securities of high conviction large cap companies without any sector bias.
- The fund has the flexibility to invest up to 20% of its total assets in equities and equity related securities of other companies.
- Up to 20% of the net assets may also be invested in debt and money market instruments and if need be then up to 10% of the portfolio might also be invested in the units issued by REITs and InvITs.
- It follows a “Buy and Hold” strategy for investment and employs a bottom-up approach for stock selection.
- It identifies stocks based on proven track record, quality management and good growth potential for stock selection.
- The fund does not deviate much from its benchmark, which ensures that the portfolio is well diversified across sectors.
