Investment Objective
Canara Robeco Large Cap Fund, formerly known as Canara Robeco Blue Chip Equity Fund, aims to provide capital appreciation by predominantly investing in companies having a large market capitalization.
Investment Strategies
- The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in equity and equity related securities of large cap companies.
- The fund can invest the remaining 20% of its net assets in other equity and equity related instruments and debt and money market instruments.
- At least 10% of the net assets may also be invested in REITS/INVITS.
- The investment process of the fund is research driven, wherein the fund:
- performs macro research and intelligence
- Identifies themes
- Tracks business cycles
- For stock selection, the fund uses:
- In-house fundamental research
- Management meetings
- Sell-side research and sector specialists
- The final portfolio is subject to regulatory limits on individual stock.
- The fund sets internal risk management limits after factoring in the liquidity and cash levels of the stocks.
- The fund invests in those large cap companies that:
- offer sustainable and stable returns over a period of time
- have strong business fundamentals
- have competent management
- have reasonable valuations
