IndusInd Bank Celesta Credit Card is one of the premium offerings by IndusInd Bank that comes at an annual fee of Rs. 5,000 (Joining fee: Rs. 25,000). The card comes with a range of travel and lifestyle features like Club Marriott membership, airport lounge access, complimentary golf games, EazyDiner Prime membership, and more. It is offered on the American Express network, and consumers can avail some additional benefits through the American Express platform.
The card competes with other similar cards like YES Bank Marquee, SBI Elite, etc.—all that offer premium type benefits at an affordable fee. However, in comparison to these cards, the reward rate on Celesta is not impressive at 2.25% for accelerated category and 0.75% for base rate. Though it offers incremental rewards on international spending, it lacks in offering some other essential privileges for international travelers, such as a low forex markup and a better frequency on international airport lounge visits, which most cards in the fee range of Rs. 5,000 offer.
Considering the decent lifestyle benefits around golf, movies, and dining, consumers can make the most of this card by using it in combination with other cards, preferably ones with a good reward rate. Considering that the joining fee is high, if you do not want to pay more, you can also consider rewards or cashback cards across entry-level cards for a good reward rate to compensate for where the card lacks.
