In the incident of hospitalization of the insured individual in any of the network hospitals, he/she need not pay any money for availing the treatment up to the sum insured. However, this will be based on the terms and conditions of the Chola MS health insurance policies. The insured individual can directly contact the Chola Help Desk to make claims under the top up policy. Also, the insured can opt to claim for reimbursement for the charges paid for the treatment defined under the inclusions of the plan.
In case the insured settles the bills for the treatments defined under the policy coverage, he/she can claim for reimbursement. Depending on the terms and conditions mentioned on the policy documents, Chola MS will process the claim and reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the insured up to the sum assured in the policy. Below mentioned are the documents to be submitted for making a reimbursement claim:
Renewal can be processed within a period of 30 days from the expiry date of previous top up. In this process, there is provision of change in the Sum Insured. This increment, if any, would be issued in the form of a brand new top up.

You can get free health checkup from Chola Topup Healthline once after every 2 consecutive claim-free years.
Q2. How can I claim for reimbursement in case I do not get admitted to a network hospital?
In the incident of admission to a non-network hospital of Cholamandalam Insurance Company, you can avail the reimbursement for the expenses incurred in case you meet the terms and conditions applicable in your policy. Also, you will have to provide the necessary relevant documents supporting your claim for the same. Your claim will be accepted, and reimbursement will be done only after the verification of the submitted documents.
Q3. If I purchase a health insurance policy from one state and get transferred to other states within India, will my insurance be valid?
The Cholamandalam health insurance plans are valid throughout India. Even if you purchase the policy from one state and avail treatment from some other state of India, your insurance coverage will be provided as per the terms and conditions of the plan. However, no coverage will be offered for the treatments availed outside the boundaries of India.
