The Chola Hospital Cash Healthline (Revision) is a fixed daily allowance plan offered by Cholamandalam General Insurance Company Limited. For every completion of 24-hours hospitalization, coverage is provided for the miscellaneous expenses incurred. If you are hospitalized Intensive Care Unit (ICU), double allowance is provided on a daily basis. In case the hospitalization exceeds a period of 20 days, an additional lump sum benefit is provided under this Healthline plan. The Cholamandalam Chola Hospital Cash Healthline (Revision) Plan is a simple insurance plan that can be easily bought online as well as offline. Three plan variants viz. Plan A, Plan B, Plan C, Plan D, Plan E and Plan F are offered under this Hospital Cash Healthline Plan.
The Cholamandalam Health Insurance Company has set a few eligibility criteria that have to be met in order to purchase the plan. Below mentioned are the eligibility criteria to purchase Chola Hospital Cash Healthline (Revision):

If the insured person is hospitalized in any of the network hospitals of Chola MS Insurance Company Limited, he/she need not pay any money to avail treatment up to total daily cash allowance as per the plan. However, this will be based on the terms and conditions of the Chola Health Insurance Company. The insured needs to approach the Third Party Administrator (TPA) desk of the network hospital and submit the necessary documents. The hospital will approach the Cholamandalam Health Insurance Company to get the authorization for the treatment. If the insurance company denies the request, no coverage will be provided, and the insured will have to bear all the charges incurred during the treatment. On the other hand, if the insurance company accepts the request, the charges applicable for the treatment based on the sum assured under the plan will be settled by the insurer. Rejection of the claim request is only if the insured individual does not meet the eligibility criteria of the plan or does not provide the necessary original documents for the same.
If you have paid and settled the bills for the treatments defined under the policy coverage, you will be eligible to claim for reimbursement from the company. Depending on the terms and conditions mentioned in the policy documents, the insurer will process the claim and reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the insured up to the sum assured in the daily cash allowance plan. Cholamandalam General Insurance Company Limited is known to settle claims in a quick and hassle-free manner. The company settles claims in just 15 days from the date of claim request. The only condition for this is that you need to submit original documents and the reason for the claim must be genuine.
Under this plan, policyholders can renew the plan till lifetime. For this, a grace period is allowed of 30 days from the date of expiry of previous policy.
A free-look period of 15 days is offered with this plan. In case you are unsatisfied with the policy’s terms and conditions, you can opt to return the policy within the 15 days. But, the only requirement for the same is that you should not have made any claims during this period.

Q1. If I am already suffering from a disease before buying the health insurance policy from Cholamandalam, will my expenses be reimbursed after policy purchase?
If you are suffering from any disease before purchasing the policy, it will be considered a pre-existing condition. Any expenses for pre-existing conditions will be covered only after four policy years.
Q2. If I am not an Indian citizen, but I live in India, can I avail this health insurance plan?
Yes. Chola MS Health Insurance offers coverage for foreigners residing in India. However, this coverage will be limited to the treatments taken within the boundaries of India.

Yes. You can purchase more than one health insurance plans from Cholamandalam General Insurance Company Limited. In the case of each claim made, the assured sum of that particular plan will be offered to the insured individual.
Q4. What is Cashless Hospitalization?
In the incident of hospitalization due to the reasons specified in the policy documents, if you are hospitalized in any of the network hospitals of Chola General Insurance Company Limited, you can avail the cashless hospitalization facility. As per the cashless hospitalization facility, you need not pay anything while availing the treatment in the network hospitals. On completion of the procedures with the TPA of the hospital, the hospital authorities will communicate to the insurer, and if the request is verified and accepted, the insurer will settle all the bills.
