Up to 5% Cashback on all your purchases
Axis Bank ACE Credit Card offers generous cashback to all users. The flat cashback rate of 2% is great when compared to other credit cards in a similar fee range. The cashback can be earned in the following categories:
- 5% cashback on Bill Payments (Electricity, Internet, Gas, DTH and more) and mobile recharges on Google Pay
- 4% cashback on Swiggy, Zomato and Ola
- 2% cashback on all other spends
All of these categories mentioned above are quite practical for everyone. Also, there is no upper limit on maximum cashback that can be earned which becomes a really good deal for those who spend across all these categories frequently. It is important to note here that the 2% base reward rate is something that many cards even in the premium segment don’t offer. For instance, Citi PremierMiles offers a base rate of 1.8% and HDFC Regalia offers 1.33%.
Let’s understand with the help of an example as to why it is a good option to apply for an Axis Bank ACE Credit Card.
Let us assume that you spend Rs. 30,000 in a billing cycle and have made the following purchases:
- Recharge and utility bill payment of Rs. 7,000 using Google Pay
- Swiggy, Zomato & Ola bookings worth Rs. 6,000
- Other purchases worth Rs. 17,000 (including EMI – Rs.10,000)
Since EMI transactions are not eligible for cashback, spending worth Rs.10,000 will be excluded from the cashback calculation.
Total spending that will be eligible for cashback: Rs.7,000 + Rs. 6,000 + Rs. 17,000 = Rs. 30,000.
Now, cash back earned on the above spending categories will be:
- 5% of Rs. 7,000 = Rs. 350
- 4% of Rs. 6,000 = Rs. 240
- 2% of Rs. 17,000 = Rs. 340
Total cashback earned = Rs. 350 + Rs. 240 Rs. 340= Rs. 930

Additional Benefits of Axis Bank ACE Credit Card
Apart from offering unlimited cashback on your purchases, the card also offers additional benefits as mentioned below:
Who should get Axis Bank ACE Credit Card?
If you are a beginner and looking for earning high cashback in the simplest form, this sure is the right card for you. The 2% cashback rate is really good when compared to other cash back credit cards. However, if you are loyal towards a particular brand like Amazon or Flipkart, then taking their co-branded credit cards like ICICI Amazon Pay and Flipkart Axis would be the right choice. What makes Axis ACE stand out is no upper limit on the maximum cashback feature. If you are looking for a simple cash back credit card, Axis ACE is the best choice for you.
However, before applying for the card, have a look at its pros and cons.
Overall, Axis ACE is a great credit card if you are specifically looking for a cashback credit card with low annual fee. The 5% cashback on Utility bill payment through Google Pay is really great. We do not see any other card which offers a 5% cashback without any maximum limit. Also, the default 2% cashback on all other spends is an exception. This card clearly beats all other entry-level credit cards present in the market. However, Axis Bank may not be the best choice for travellers as it does not offer accelerated rewards on any travel/airline brand or on the category. In such a case, you could do better on travel expenses with a travel credit card.
