Applying for a HSBC Card

An individual can apply for an HSBC credit card in various ways like online or by visiting the branch or through a 24*7 phone service.

Applying Online

In keeping with the rising trend of online transactions, the application for a credit card can be done online through the website. The process is simple:

After the necessary analysis the bank will issue card. So, the customer does not have to engage in useless hassles to avail a credit card. He or she simply needs to log in to the bank’s website, choose the relevant tab, fill up the asked details, supply the necessary documentation and the card is granted.

On the online application page, you would have to provide necessary personal information as required by the application form. Such information includes demographic data like age, residential and office address, income level etc. Though no supporting documents are required at the time of applying, they will be required later, when your application is forwarded to the credit card issuer. Your new credit card is issued only after you have met various qualifying criteria and the documentation verification has been completed.

The customer can also choose the option of ‘Click 2 Call’ available on the bank’s website. On choosing the option, a separate page opens where the customer is asked to adhere to the terms and conditions of the bank and provide his or her contact number.   • Bill desk: HSBC credit card bills can be paid through online bill payment from any other bank account through bill payment service. The credit card payment can be made by transferring money from any bank account by using billdesk facility.
     
  • Visa money transfer:The money can be transferred from the bank account to HSBC Visa credit card online by using Visa Money Transfer.
     
  • Standing Instructions: The standing instructions can be given to the bank to directly debit the HSBC savings or current account.
     
  • Electronic clearing system: The customer authorizes HSBC to debit the other bank account for the payment of credit cards.

  • The fuel surcharge waiver is limited to Rs.250 per calendar year for the Primary card of HSBC MakemyTrip credit card, Gold and Platinum Card and Advance Platinum cards. And Rs.100 is waived per calendar year for Primary card for Classic Credit card.
  • The transactions which are made eligible for surcharge waiver will not be earning any reward points.
  • If fuel surcharge is debited for any transactions the same will be refunded back in the subsequent months.
  • Service tax charged on fuel surcharge cannot be reversed as it is not under the jurisdiction of the HSBC bank.

Secured Online Credit card Payments

The online shopping is secured with a six digit One Time Password{OTP} to protect the online internet transactions in India.
